The Procession of Boats
If you have visited New & Lingwood tailors on Eton High Street you may have noticed their wonderful collection of vintage Eton Boaters on display. In conjunction with New & Lingwood we have carefully photographed the boaters in a studio and have produced an exclusive print.
This image may never be seen again. It was photographed during the Winter floods of 2014. After weeks of storms the River Thames burst its banks and flooded College Field. During a brief respite from the wind & heavy rain on the morning of the 11th January the sun shone from a clear blue sky reflecting Eton College in the flooded field. It rained again in the afternoon and the reflection was gone and never returned.
Fourth of June Celebration
In the early morning on the 4th of June 2013 the boats were made ready by the boat master at Masters before being used in The Procession of Boats.
